It’s a shame because there’s so much here that’s better than V2. If V2 had a moveable greenhouse I’d just go back to it given how slow V3 is. Placing paths is a nightmare at the moment. Hoping to see optimization in the future so I can make better use of this incredible tool!
I’ve done some performance fixes, so anyone that had lag issues before could you please retry.
Hi this is still extremely laggy. Every tab takes about 30 seconds the register if i hovered over it or clicked on it, and when I try to move object,s they take about 5 seconds to follow my mouse. I also noticed theres performance issues when I try to keep this tab open and have the game open, where teh game suddenly becomes laggy as well.
Edit: performance becomes way better on Microsoft Edge when graphics acceleration is turned on.
Too laggy. Took 5-10 seconds to register click when moving house. Scrolling around on farm pretty slow as well.
Insane lagg, like a btc miner or idk, i have a very powerfull pc, i5 12400, 32gb ram, nvme ssd, rtx 3070 and its lagging like if i playing from some potato lol, fps is around 1-2 not even kidding
I’ve got a pretty decent PC, and opening this spikes the CPU to 100% and it lags like woa. Kind of disappointed that V2 is gone, the lag makes this unusable.
Hi, I’m sorry that it’s the case.
V2 can still be used at: https://v2.stardew.info/
But, if you could help me find the issue with the lagging problem, please send me Chrome performance profile.
You can read how to record performance profile from here:
https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/performance/reference#record-runtime
How to save it:
https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/performance/reference#save
Send it along with your system spec and browser versions to my email @ henrikpeinar@gmail.com
No one has done this yet! Unless I’m able to reproduce this issue or see why it lags, it’s very difficuly to solve it.
V3 looks modern, but yeah unfortunately, its laggy
V3 is extremely laggy in most cases unusable. It actually lags my computer out when I am on it.
I’ve finally managed to reproduce the problem after numerous people have sent me their debug information.
And the conclusion is the following:
This is 99% of times caused by hardware acceleration being turned off in the browser settings. I’m not sure why people turn it off, or why is it off by default in some system, but turning it on will fix the performance problem.
Depending on the browser the way to turn it on can be in different settings and you’ll need to restart browser afterwards.
I’ve added a low performance modal to the planner as well which will popup if the planner detects unusually low FPS and advises users to turn on the hardware acceleration.
I’m keeping this issue open for visibility for now.
